In a recent Bloomberg interview, Investment Guru, Wintergreen Advisors CEO David Winters said that he wants to buy if we have a pull back and he does have cash in his portfolio.

He is patient and thinks the market will not go up straight forever.

“The world goes on. There are reasons to be optimistic”, He said. He likes the following stock in interview:

1. Anglo American (AAUKY, Financial)

Anglo American plc with its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates is a global leader in the mining and natural resources sectors. It has significant and focused interests in gold, platinum, diamonds, coal base and ferrous metals, industrial minerals and forest products, as well as financial and technological strength. The Group is geographically diverse with operations and developments in Africa, Europe, South and North America, and Australia..

Winter thinks there are multiple reasons why this stock will go up. They have very good assets and they have reorganized the cost structure.

2. Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) (BRK-A)

Winter said currently Portfolio of the stocks and bonds take up about the 2/3 of the market value so you can take the entire operating side of the business about only 1/3. Winter thinks the stock can go up in 30 to 40% if the confidence is back.

He also likes a Malaysia stock called Genting and a Canadian stock called Birchcliff Energy Ltd. He also talked about difficult in investing in China and diversifying internationally.
