Gates pays $30M for more Berkshire stock

Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates, the world's richest person, paid more than $30.1 million in the last two weeks of 2005 to buy 340 shares of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc.


Gates paid between $88,350 and $89,100 per Class A share in the transactions, which took place between Dec. 22 and Dec. 30, several U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings show. On Dec. 30, he bought 50 shares for $4.42 million.
