Tom Russo oversees a multibillion dollar portfolio as the general partner of Semper Vic Partners and Semper Vic Partners. His performance for the past decade has been more than 8% as compared to that of S&P 500’s negative return.

Laterly we have seen him interviewed by Bloomberg after his attendance of Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting. Russo talked primarily Berkshire’s investment in Goldman Sachs.

In the following CNBC interview, Russo talked about where he currently looks for value. He thinks the European companies does business internationally, such as Nestle SA (NSRGY) and Unilever (UN) presents good investment opportunity.

Russo has not filed SEC disclosure yet for the quarter yet, here is GuruFocus’s data on his top holding as of December 31, 2009. He is a rather slow-churning fund manager, so the data should still be quite representative:

Apparently, Russo likes consumer goods and services companies, two areas where many lasting companies operate in.
