American Airlines Group Inc, formerly known as AMR Corp was incorporated in October 1982 and operates in the airline industry. The Company is a holding company engaged in operation of a network air carrier through its subsidiaries American Airlines, Inc. (American), US Airways Group, Inc. The Company operates the airline as measured by revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and available seat miles (ASMs). The Company has hubs in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. Together with American Eagle and US Airways Express, it operates an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to 339 destinations in 54 countries. In 2013, the Company had approximately 87 million and 22 million passengers boarding its mainline and regional flights, respectively. As of December 31, 2013, the Company operated 970 mainline jets and is supported by its regional airline subsidiaries and third-party regional carriers operating as American Eagle and US Airways Express under capacity purchase agreements, which operated 519 regional jets and 40 turboprops. It operates in five main domestic markets: Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago O'Hare, Miami, New York City and Los Angeles. The Company is subject to extensive domestic and international regulatory requirements.
