Allot Communications Ltd formerly known as Ariadne Ltd., was incorporated on November 12, 1996. The Company is limited by shares and organized under the laws of the State of Israel. It provides broadband solutions, focused on developing mobile, fixed and enterprise networks. The Company's solutions are based on deep packet inspection, or DPI technology which identifies and leverages the business in data networks and in network traffics. Its customers consists of mobile and fixed broadband service providers, cable operators, private networks, data centers, governments and enterprises, such as financial and educational institutions. The Company's integrated solutions include: Analytics, Traffic Management, Video Caching and Optimization, Policy Control and Charging, Service Enablement, Allot NetEnforcer, Allot TierManager; Allot QuotaManager; Allot ChargeSmart; Allot ClearSee Analytics; Allot ClearSee Data Source; Allot MediaSwift E; Allot VideoClass; Allot WebSafe Personal; Allot WebSafe; Allot ServiceProtector; NetXplorer Analytics and Reporting; NetXplorer Data Collector; NetAccounting Server; and NetPolicy Provisioner. The Company markets and sells products to end-customers both by direct sales and through channel partners, which include distributors, resellers, OEMs and system integrators. It focus its marketing efforts on product positioning, increasing brand awareness, communicating product advantages and generating leads for sales organization and relies on different marketing communications channels, including website, trade shows, industry research and professional publications, the press and events. The Company has organized its international sales efforts in three territories: North and South America; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Asia and Oceania. It has presence in geographies such as United States, Israel, France, United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand and China, and a regional presence in Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, India, Hong Kong, South Korea, South Africa and Australia. The research and development activities take place in Israel. The Company competes with router and switch infrastructure companies, such as Cisco Systems, Inc., Telefonaktiebolager LM Erricson and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Further, the Company also competes with Sandvine Inc. and Procera Networks, Inc. in the field of DPI technology.
