Anadigics, Inc., was incorporated in Delaware in 1984. The Company designs and manufactures radio frequency semiconductor solutions for cellular wireless, WiFi, and infrastructure applications. It design, develop and manufacture RFICs using GaAs compound semiconductor substrates with various process technologies, MESFET, pHEMT and HBT. It focuses on enabling anytime, anywhere connectivity with solutions that offer greater performance and integration to enhance the consumer's experience. It works closely with the equipment manufacturers such as OEMs and ODMs. It designs and manufactures differentiated RF solutions. Its product portfolio includes power amplifiers, FEICs, FEMs, and line amplifiers. Its products are optimized for cellular wireless, WiFi, and wireless infrastructure applications. Its cellular wireless power amplifiers and FEMs enable mobile handsets, smartphones, tablets, notebooks, datacards, automotive, M2M, and industrial devices to access 3G and 4G wireless networks. These networks operate on international standards, such as LTE, HSPA, WCDMA, EVDO, CDMA, and WiMAX. Its WiFi FEICs and power amplifiers enable wireless LAN connectivity for mobile and fixed-point devices, such as smartphones, tablets, notebooks, and base stations. These solutions are optimized for the latest WiFi standards, including 802.11ac and 802.11n. Its infrastructure solutions include both wireless infrastructure and CATV products. Its wireless infrastructure power amplifiers enable 3G and 4G small-cell base stations. Its CATV line amplifiers and other RF products provide the critical link in CATV infrastructure network devices, as well as set-top boxes and cable modems. The Company supplies line amplifier radio frequency IC amplifiers to the CATV infrastructure market. Its products are categorized as: Cellular Wireless, WiFi, Infrastructure, CATV Infrastructure, CATV Set-Top Box and Cable Modem, and WiMax. Its products are sold mainly to direct customers. Additionally it uses independent manufacturers' representatives and distributors for direct sales and customer support efforts. GaAs wafers, HBT/pHEMT epitaxial wafers, passive components, other raw materials, and equipment used in the production of ICs are available from a limited number of sources. It competes with companies including Avago Technologies Limited, RF Micro Devices, Inc., Skyworks Solutions, Inc. and TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. The Company's operations are subject to federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations and ordinances.
