Asahi Glass Co Ltd was incorporated in Japan on June 1, 1950. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing of glass and glass products. The Company operates in four segments including; Glass, Electronics, Chemicals and Ceramics. The Glass operating segment includes manufacturing of flat glass and automotive glass products including float glass, double glazing glass for solar control & heat insulation, safety glass, glass for solar power systems, and tempered & laminated automotive glass. The Electronics segment includes manufacturing of display glass and electronics materials & parts including glass substrates for TFT-LCDs, PDPs and display devices, CMP slurry, synthetic quartz glass, and glass molded lens.
