Bill Barrett Corporation is a Delaware corporation that was formed in January 2002. It explores and develops oil and natural gas in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. The Company has exploration and development projects in nine basins and a regional overthrust belt in the Rocky Mountains. The Company operates in one industry segment, which is the exploration, development and production of natural gas and crude oil, and all of the Company's operations are conducted in the United States. All of its revenues are generated through the sale of oil and natural gas production and natural gas liquids ("NGLs") recovery at market prices and from the settlement of commodity hedges. The Company's acquisitions have included key assets in the Piceance (Colorado) Uinta (Utah), Denver-Julesburg (Colorado and Wyoming), Powder River (Wyoming) and Wind River (Wyoming) Basins in the Rockies.
