Bryn Mawr Bank Corp was formed on January 2, 1987. The Company operates as the holding company for The Bryn Mawr Trust Company (the "Bank"). The Bank offers personal and business banking services, consumer and commercial loans, equipment leasing, mortgages, insurance and wealth management services, including investment management, trust and estate administration, retirement planning, custody services, and tax planning and preparation. The Company operates 19 full-service branches and seven Life Care Community offices in Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties of Pennsylvania and New Castle County in Delaware. The Company has two operating segments: Wealth Management and Banking. The Wealth Management segment has responsibility for a number of activities within the Corporation, including trust administration, other related fiduciary services, custody, investment management and advisory services, employee benefits and IRA administration, estate settlement, tax services and brokerage. Banking segment consists of commercial and retail banking. The Company and its subsidiaries, including the Bank, compete for deposits, loans and wealth management services in Delaware, Montgomery, Chester, Dauphin and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania and New Castle county in Delaware. The Company and its subsidiaries, including the Bank, are subject to extensive regulation under both federal and state law.
