Business Description

BOK Financial Corporation was incorporated in 1990 in Oklahoma. The Company is a financial holding company which provides a range of financial services to commercial and industrial customers, other financial institutions and consumers throughout Oklahoma; Northwest Arkansas; Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, Texas; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; and Kansas City, Missouri / Kansas. These services include depository and cash management; lending and lease financing; mortgage banking; securities brokerage, trading and underwriting; and personal and corporate trust. It also acts as a broker/dealer that engages in retail and institutional securities sales and municipal bond underwriting. BOK Financial operates three main lines of business: commercial banking, consumer banking and wealth management. Commercial banking includes lending, treasury and cash management services and customer risk management products to small businesses, middle market and larger commercial customers. Commercial banking also includes the TransFund electronic funds network. Consumer banking includes retail lending and deposit services, all mortgage banking activities and its indirect automobile lending products. Wealth management provides fiduciary services, brokerage and trading, private bank services and investment advisory services in all markets. The Company and its operating segments face competition from other banks, thrifts, credit unions and other non-bank financial institutions, such as investment banking firms, investment advisory firms, brokerage firms, investment companies, government agencies, mortgage brokers and insurance companies. BOK Financial and the Bank are subject to various capital requirements administered by federal agencies.
