Dynamic Materials Corp operates a diversified family of technical product and process businesses serving the energy, industrial and infrastructure markets. Its business segments consist of NobelClad and DynaEnergetics.

Dynamic Materials Corp was incorporated in the state of Colorado in 1971 and reincorporated in the state of Delaware during 1997. Its businesses operate through an international network of manufacturing, distribution and sales facilities. The Company is engaged in the production of explosion-welded clad metal plates for use in the construction of corrosion resistant industrial processing equipment and specialized transition joints. It operates in two business segments; NobelClad and DynaEnergetics. NobelClad operates in production of explosion-welded clad metal plates for use in the construction of corrosion resistant industrial processing equipment and specialized transition joints. NobelClad uses a range of alloys, steels and other materials for its operations, such as stainless steel, copper alloys, nickel alloys, titanium, zirconium, tantalum, aluminum and other metals. NobelClad faces competition from alternative technologies such as rollbond and weld overlay. DynaEnergetics manufactures and distributes products utilized by the oil and gas industry for the perforation of oil and gas wells. DynaEnergetics utilizes a variety of raw materials for the production of oilfield perforating and seismic products, including steel tubes, steel and copper, explosives "RDX, HMX, HNS", granulates, plastics and ancillary plastic product components. It competes with perforating companies based in North America, South America, and Russia who produces and markets perforating services and products. The Company operates its businesses in United States, Canada, South Korea, Germany, India, Russia, France, Kazakhstan, China and rest of the world. The Company is subject to extensive government regulation in the United States, Germany, France, Canada, Russia and Kazakhstan, including guidelines and regulations for the safe manufacture, handling, transport and storage of explosives issued by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation; the Safety Library Publications of the Institute of Makers of Explosive; and similar guidelines of their European counterparts.
