Berry Petroleum Co is incorporated in Delaware in 1985. It operates as an energy company. The Company produces, develops, acquires, exploits and explores for crude oil and natural gas. The Company conducts its operations in the United States. It currently has seven asset teams which include; SMWSS—Steam Floods, NMWSS—Diatomite, NMWSS—New Steam Floods, Permian, Uinta, E. Texas and Piceance. SMWSS—Steam Floods asset team includes its Homebase, Formax, Ethel D, Placerita and Poso Creek properties. NMWSS—Diatomite asset team includes its Diatomite properties in the San Joaquin Valley. The Company sells its production to a variety of purchasers under oil and natural gas purchase contracts with daily, monthly, seasonal, annual or multi-year terms, all at market prices. The majority of its sales are to marketing companies or refiners. The Company's operations are subject to stringent federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the discharge of materials into the environment or otherwise relating to environmental protection. Its operations are subject to the same environmental laws and regulations as other companies in the oil and natural gas exploration and production industry.
