Baytex Energy Corp is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Williston Basin in the United States.

Calgary, Alberta-based Baytex Energy engages in the exploration for and production of heavy crude oil, light crude oil, and natural gas in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and South Texas. At year-end 2015, the company reported gross proven reserves of 348 million barrels of oil equivalent. Net production averaged approximately 85 mboe/d in 2015, at a ratio of 82% oil to 18% gas.
