Business Description

Camden National Corporation is the bank holding company for Camden National Bank and Acadia Trust, N.A. The bank serves individuals, businesses, municipalities and non-profits through a network of banking offices and ATMs in Maine. Acadia Trust, N.A. provides trust and investment management services to their clients, who are mainly located in the State of Maine, and to the clients of the bank. The primary business of the company and its subsidiaries is to attract deposits from, and to extend loans to, consumer, institutional, municipal, non-profit and commercial customers. Camden makes its commercial and consumer banking products and services available directly and indirectly through its subsidiary, Camden National Bank, and its division Union Trust, and its brokerage and insurance services through Acadia Financial Consultants. Its financial offerings include college, retirement, and estate planning, mutual funds, Strategic Asset Management accounts, and variable and fixed annuities. The company also provides wealth management, trust and Employee benefit products and services through its subsidiary, Acadia Trust, N.A. Acadia Trust provides a range of trust, trust-related, investment and wealth management services, in addition to retirement and pension plan management services, to both individual and institutional clients. In addition to serving as a holding company, Camden provides managerial, operational, human resource, marketing, financial management, risk management and technology services to its subsidiaries. The company provides a range of financial services to individuals and companies in the State of Maine which include lending, demand deposits, savings and time deposits, cash management, brokerage and trust services. Camden National Bank focuses mainly on attracting deposits from the general public through its branches, and then using such deposits to originate residential mortgage loans, commercial business loans, commercial real estate loans and a variety of consumer loans.
