CAE, Inc., was incorporated as Canadian Aviation Electronics Ltd., under the laws of Canada on March 17, 1947. In 1965, the name of the Company was changed to CAE Industries Ltd. and in 1993 the Company changed its name to CAE Inc. The Company provides modeling, simulation and training for civil aviation and defense. It offers civil aviation, military and helicopter training services in more than 45 locations globally. The Company operates in two divisions: Civil Aviation and Defense and Security. The Civil Aviation division has approximately 210 full-flight simulators in 44 civil training locations globally. It serves approximately 3,500 airlines, aircraft operators and manufacturers across the globe. It offer customized training services for pilots and maintenance technicians ranging from integrated programs to deployable ground school capabilities and e-Learning solutions. It also supplies civil flight simulators to approximately 130 airlines, aircraft manufacturers and training centers. The Defense and Security division provides turnkey training services and training systems integration expertise to global defense and security forces. Its training services include the Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility at Royal Air Force Benson in the U.K., the Operational Training Systems Provider program for the Canadian Forces, the German Army Aviation School at Buckeburg, and the KC 135 Aircrew Training System for the United States Air Force. It also provides a range of training support services such as contractor logistics support, maintenance services and simulator training. It additionally provides modeling and simulation-based Integrated Enterprise Solutions for analysis and operational decision-making, and offers a range of in-service support solutions such as systems engineering and lifecycle management.
