Continental Building Products Inc is a manufacturer of gypsum wallboard and complementary finishing products. The Company sells the products in the new residential, R&R and commercial construction markets.

Continental Building Products Inc manufactures gypsum wallboard and complementary finishing products. Gypsum wallboard, is also known as drywall, is a primary building material used in new residential and commercial construction and in repair and remodel, or R&R. The Company operates manufacturing facilities in Silver Grove (Kentucky), Palatka (Florida) and Buchanan (New York) that produces a range of gypsum wallboard products for its diversified customer. It offers a range of gypsum wallboard products, including LiftLite, its lightweight product designed to be easier to lift and install; Mold Defense line of products designed for enhanced protection against mold and mildew; Weather Defense line of moisture and mold-resistant exterior sheathing. The Company also operates finishing products business that manufactures a line of joint compounds at its plant in Silver Grove (Kentucky) and Chambly (Quebec). The Company sells its products in the new residential, R&R and commercial construction markets. Its trademark for wallboard and finishing products includes LiftLite, Firecheck, Mold Defense and Rapid Coat among others. The competitors of the Company include USG, National Gypsum, Georgia-Pacific, CertainTeed, Eagle Materials, and Pabco Gypsum. The Company is subject to federal, state, local and foreign laws and regulations governing the protection of the environment and occupational health and safety.
