Business Description

Capital City Bank Group, Inc. was incorporated under Florida law on December 13, 1982, to acquire five national banks and one state bank that all subsequently became part of CCBG's bank subsidiary, Capital City Bank is a financial holding company for Capital City. The company provides traditional deposit and credit services, asset management, trust, mortgage banking, merchant services, bank cards, data processing, and securities brokerage services through full-service banking locations in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Dividends and management fees received from the bank are the company's only source of income. Dividend payments by the bank depend on the capitalization, earnings and projected growth of the bank, and are limited by various regulatory restrictions. CCBG has one reportable segment with the following main services: Banking Services, Data Processing Services, Trust and Asset Management Services, and Brokerage Services. Services offered by the bank include: Business Banking - The bank provides banking services to Corporations and other business clients. Credit products are available for a variety of general business purposes, including financing for commercial business properties, equipment, inventories and accounts receivable, as well as commercial leasing and letters of credit. The company also provides treasury management services, and, through a marketing alliance with Elavon, Inc., merchant credit card transaction processing services. Commercial Real Estate Lending - The bank provides a range of products to meet the financing needs of commercial developers and investors, residential builders and developers, and community development. Credit products are available to facilitate the purchase of land and/or build structures for business use and for investors who are developing residential or commercial property. Residential Real Estate Lending - The bank provides products to help meet the home financing needs of consumers, including conventional permanent and construction/permanent financing arrangements, and FHA/VA loan products. The bank offers both fixed-rate and adjustable rate residential mortgage loans. Retail Credit - The bank provides a full range of loan products to meet the needs of consumers, including personal loans, automobile loans, boat/RV loans, home equity loans, and credit card programs. Institutional Banking - The bank provides banking services to meet the needs of state and local governments, public schools and colleges, charities, membership and not-for-profit associations including customized checking and savings accounts, cash management systems, tax-exempt loans, lines of credit, and term loans. Retail Banking - The bank provides a full range of consumer banking services, including checking accounts, savings programs, automated teller machines, debit/credit cards, night deposit services, safe deposit facilities, and PC/Internet banking.
