Its traditional staffing includes temporary and permanent placement of travel nurses and allied professionals, branch based local nurses and allied staffing, and locum tenens physicians. Its business currently consists of three business segments: nurse and allied staffing, physician staffing, and other human capital management services. Nurse and Allied Staffing segment provides traditional staffing, including temporary and permanent placement of travel nurses and allied professionals, and branch based local nurses and allied staffing. It provides flexible workforce solutions to the healthcare market through diversified offerings meeting the special needs of each client. Its services include: MSP, workforce assessment, internal resource pool consulting and development, EMR transition staffing, recruitment process outsourcing services, and traditional staffing. Its clients include: public and private acute-care and non-acute care hospitals, government facilities, schools, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care facilities, physician practice groups, retailers, and many other healthcare providers. Its brands include Cross Country TravCorps, NovaPro Travel, Medstaff Travel, CRU48 Travel, and Assignment America. Through the Physician Staffing segment it provides physicians in many specialties, certified registered nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants under its Medical Doctor Associates brand as independent contractors on temporary assignments throughout the United States at various healthcare facilities, such as acute and non-acute care facilities, medical group practices, government facilities, and managed care organizations. The Company recruits these professionals nationally and places them on assignments varying in length from several days up to one year. Through Other Human Capital Management Services it provides education and training programs to the healthcare industry and also provide retained search services for physicians and healthcare executives. The Company markets its nurse and allied staffing services to hospital and healthcare facility clients using its Cross Country Staffing and Allied Health Group brands. The Company competes with AMN Healthcare Services, Inc., CHG Healthcare Services, Medical Staffing Network Holdings, Inc., Maxim Healthcare, Jackson Healthcare, Team Health, Parallon, MedAssets, PESI Healthcare, Witt Kiefer among others. Its business is subject to regulation by various governmental authorities in the jurisdictions in which it operates.
