Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc., is a Delaware corporation formed in 1994. The company is a manufacturer and distributor of heavy duty diesel and light duty vehicle emissions control systems and products to major automakers and retrofitters. Its business is driven by increasingly stringent, global emission standards for internal combustion engines, which are major sources of a variety of harmful pollutants. The company operates in two main divisions: Heavy Duty Diesel Systems division and its Catalyst division. Its Heavy Duty Diesel Systems division specializes in the design and manufacture of verified exhaust emissions control solutions. This division offers a full range of products for the verified retrofit and non-retrofit original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, and aftermarket markets through its distribution/dealer network and direct sales. Its Purifilter, Purifier, Combifilter, Cattrap and Actifilter products, along with its catalyst technologies, are used to reduce exhaust emissions created by on-road, off-road and stationary diesel, and alternative fuel engines including propane and natural gas. It also provides Platinum Plus fuel-borne catalyst technology, ARIS airless return flow system technology and exhaust gas recirculation with selective catalyst reduction technologies. Its Catalyst division produces catalyst formulations to reduce emissions from gasoline, diesel and natural gas combustion engines. Using its proprietary MPC technology, it has developed a family of unique high-performance catalysts — with base-metals or low platinum group metal and zero-platinum group metal content — to provide increased catalytic function and value for technology-driven automotive industry customers. Its technical and manufacturing competence in the light duty vehicle market is aimed at meeting auto makers' stringent requirements, and it have supplied over ten million parts to light duty vehicle customers since 1996. Its Catalyst division also provides catalyst formulations for its Heavy Duty Diesel Systems division. Its Heavy Duty Diesel Systems division competes directly against other companies that market verified products. In North America, its key competitors with verified products include: Donaldson Company, Inc., ESW, Inc., Hug Filtersystems and Johnson Matthey plc. In Europe, it competes with a number of companies, including Dinex Exhausts Ltd, Eminox Ltd, Huss Group and HJS Emission Technology. It is committed to complying with all federal, state and international environmental laws governing production, use, transport and disposal of substances and control of emissions.
