Celadon Group Inc was incorporated in Delaware in 1986. The Company is a dry van truckload carrier, mainly transporting full trailer loads of freight from origin to destination without intermediate stops or handling. The Company also provides warehousing and trucking services through Celadon Dedicated Services. As a dry van truckload carrier, the Company generally transports full trailer loads of freight from origin to destination without intermediate stops or handling. Its customer base includes Fortune 500 shippers such as 3M, Alcoa, ConAgra Foods, General Electric, Home Depot, John Deere, Kellogg, Lowes, Philip Morris, Proctor & Gamble, and Wal-Mart. In its international operations, it offers time-sensitive transportation in and between the United States and its two largest trading partners, Mexico and Canada. The Company provides warehousing and trucking services through Celadon Dedicated Services. The Companys warehouse facilities are located near its customers' manufacturing plants. It also transports the manufacturing component parts to its warehouses and sequences those parts for its customers. It also offers less-than-truckload services to all its customers. The Companys operations are subject to various federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, implemented by the Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") and similar state regulatory agencies, governing the management of hazardous wastes, other discharge of pollutants into the air and surface and underground waters, and the disposal of certain substances.
