CMS Bancorp, Inc. is a Delaware corporation. It completed its initial public offering on April 3, 2007. Its subsidiary is Community Mutual Savings Bank (Community Mutual). The Company's business is conducted principally through the Bank. Community Mutual's principal business is accepting deposits from the general public and using those deposits to make residential loans, as well as, to a lesser extent, commercial real estate loans and consumer loans to individuals and small businesses primarily in Westchester County and the neighboring areas in New York State. Community Mutual also currently invests in short- and medium-term marketable securities and other liquid investments. Community Mutual's primary market area is Westchester County, New York, a northern suburb of New York City. Community Mutual faces intense competition in its market area both in making loans and attracting deposits. It is regulated, examined and supervised by the OTS.
