Comtech Telecommunications Corporation is a Delaware corporation, founded in 1967. The Company designs, develops, produces and markets products, systems and services for advanced communications solutions. The Company has three operating segments: telecommunications transmission, RF microwave amplifiers and mobile data communications. The Company's telecommunications transmission segment provides sophisticated equipment and systems that are used to enhance satellite transmission efficiency and that enable wireless communications in environments where terrestrial communications are unavailable, inefficient or too expensive. Its telecommunications transmission segment also operates its high-volume technology manufacturing center which has been utilized, at one time or another, by all three of its business segments and, to a much lesser extent, by third-party commercial customers, including prime contractors to the U.S. government. The Company's RF microwave amplifiers segment designs, manufactures, and markets traveling wave tube amplifiers and solid-state amplifiers, including high-power, broadband RF microwave amplifier products. Its mobile data communications segment provides customers with integrated solutions to enable global satellite-based communications when mobile, real-time, secure transmission is required.
