Columbia Property Trust, Inc., is a Maryland corporation that operates as a real estate investment trust and was incorporated on July 3, 2003. The Company through its subsidiaries acquires, develops, owns, leases, and operates real properties. It invests in high-quality, income-generating office properties. The Company owned approximately 27 office properties and one hotel, which contain approximately 14.0 million square feet of commercial space, located in 12 states and the District of Columbia. The Company has office properties located in areas including San Francisco, New York, Houston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Northern New Jersey. The Company faces competition for high-quality tenants from owners and managers of competing projects. All real property and the operations conducted on real property are subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
