Citizens and Northern Corp was formed in 1999 and was incorporated in the State of Pennsylvania. It is a holding company for Citizens & Northern Bank. The Company along with its subsidiaries is engaged in providing a range of banking and mortgage services to individual and corporate customers in North Central Pennsylvania and Southern New York State. Lending products include mortgage loans, commercial loans and consumer loans, as well as specialized instruments such as commercial letters-of-credit. Deposit products include various types of checking accounts, passbook and statement savings, money market accounts, interest checking accounts, individual retirement accounts and certificates of deposit. It also offers non-insured 'Repo Sweep' accounts. C&N Bank and First State Bank provide an extensive range of banking services, including deposit and loan products for personal and commercial customers. The Company provides Trust and Financial Management services, including administration of trusts and estates, retirement plans, and other employee benefit plans, and investment management services. The Company offers a variety of personal and commercial insurance products through C&N Financial Services Corporation. C&N Financial Services Corporation also has a broker-dealer division, which offers mutual funds, annuities, educational savings accounts and other investment products through registered agents. The Company is subject to regulation by certain federal and state agencies and undergoes periodic examination by those regulatory authorities.
