Business Description

Caesars Entertainment Corporation was incorporated on November 2, 1989 in Delaware. The Company is a diversified casino-entertainment provider and the most geographically diverse U.S. casino-entertainment company. The Company's business is primarily conducted through a wholly-owned subsidiary, Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Inc. (CEOC). Currently it owns, operates, or manages, through various subsidiaries, approximately 52 casinos in 12 U.S. states and seven countries. The majority of these casinos operate in the United States and England. The Company's casino entertainment facilities operate primarily under the Harrah's, Caesars, and Horseshoe brand names in the United States. The Company's casino entertainment facilities include 33 land-based casinos, 12 riverboat or dockside casinos, three managed casinos on Indian lands in the United States, one managed casino in Canada, one casino combined with a greyhound racetrack, one casino combined with a thoroughbred racetrack, and one casino combined with a harness racetrack. The Company's land-based casinos include one in Uruguay, nine in England, one in Scotland, two in Egypt, and one in South Africa. Its facilities have an aggregate of approximately three million square feet of gaming space and approximately 43,000 hotel rooms. Its customer loyalty program, Total Rewards, has over 40 million members. It uses the Total Rewards system to market promotions and to generate customer play across its network of properties. In addition, it owns an online gaming business, providing for real money casino, bingo, and poker games in the United Kingdom, alliances with online gaming providers in Italy and France, 'play for fun' offerings in other jurisdictions, social games on Facebook and other social media websites, and mobile application platforms. It also owns and operates the World Series of Poker tournament and brand.
