Deutsche Boerse is one of the primary European exchanges. It runs major derivatives and equities exchanges as well as clearing and settlement operations. The company's portfolio of businesses includes Eurex--a large derivatives exchange--and its clearinghouse, Eurex Clearing. In addition, Deutsche Boerse runs Clearstream, a provider of settlement and custody services. Other businesses include the Xetra electronic trading system.
