Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc is engaged in the ocean transportation of cargoes, including iron ores, coal, grains, cement and fertilizers along international shipping routes.

Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc was incorporated under the laws of the Republic of the Marshall Islands on March, 2005. The Company is engaged in the ocean transportation of cargoes, including iron ores, coal, grains, cement and fertilizers. It operates in the Handymax sector of the dry bulk industry, with an emphasis on the Supramax class of vessels. These vessels has the cargo loading and unloading flexibility of on-board cranes, while offering cargo carrying capacities that of Panamax dry bulk vessels and relies on port facilities to load and offload their cargoes. Supramax dry bulk carriers have the cargo loading and unloading flexibility of on-board cranes while offering cargo carrying capacities approaching that of Panamax dry bulk vessels. The Company operates in one reportable segment which is engaged in the ocean transportation of drybulk cargoes through the ownership and operation of drybulk carrier vessels. The Company's vessels regularly move between countries in international waters, over hundreds of trade routes and, as a result, the disclosure of geographic information is impracticable. The Company's customers include international companies such as Navig8 Inc, Mur Shipping, Oldendorff Carriers GmbH, Cargill International S.A. Hyundai Merchant Marine Co Ltd, and Arcelo Mittal sourcing S.C.A. Its operations are subject to a number of laws and regulations in the form of international conventions and treaties, national, state and local laws and national and international regulations in force in the jurisdictions in which its vessels operate or are registered. In addition, the Company is also subject to air emission norms, as well as safety norms set forth by United Nations' International Maritime Organization.
