Eldorado Gold Corp is a gold exploration, development, mining and production company. It owns and operates gold, iron ore and silver-lead-zinc mines. Its activities involve all facets of the mining industry, including exploration, discovery, development, production and reclamation. Its business is currently focused on Brazil, China, Greece, Turkey and Romania. The Company has ongoing exploration and development projects in Turkey, China, Greece, Brazil and Romania. The Company acquired control of European Goldfields Ltd. in February 2012, including its producing mine, Stratoni, and development projects, Olympias and Skouries, in Greece and its development project, Certej, in Romania. The Company has six reportable segments based on the geographical location of mining and exploration and development activities.
