Business Description

E2open, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in September 2003, and merged with E2open, LLC, with E2open, Inc. becoming the surviving entity in the merger. The Company is a provider of cloud-based, on-demand software solutions delivered on an integrated platform that enables companies to collaborate with their trading partners to procure, manufacture, sell and distribute products more efficiently. Its customers depend on outsourced manufacturing strategies and complex trading networks to compete in today's global economy. The Company's solutions are used to gain visibility into and control over their trading networks through the real-time information, integrated business processes and advanced analytics that it provides. The Company's solutions enable its customers and their trading partners to overcome problems arising from communications across disparate systems by offering a reliable source of data, processes and analytics, which its customers relies on as the single version of the truth. The Company refers to the combination of its software applications delivered on its cloud-based platform, the content contributed by its network participants and enabling services as the E2open Business Network. The E2open Business Network allows its network participants to access and share data and executes business processes in a secure, real-time manner, while providing them with collaboration tools and analytics so that its customers can make more informed and efficient decisions. Its customer base includes multinational companies such as Boeing, Cisco, Dell, the Gap, GE, Flextronics, IBM, Motorola and Vodafone. The Company faces competition from the companies such as Infor, Oracle and SAP for ERP extension solutions; GXS Corporation, IBM/Sterling Commerce and SPS Commerce for B2B integration space solutions; and JDA Software Group, Inc. for niche applications vendors.
