1. Operating Margin
2. Trend of the Operating Margin (5-year average). The company with an uptrend profit margin has a higher rank.
ย•ย•3. Consistency of the profitability
4. Piotroski F-Score
5. Predictability Rankย•

The maximum rank is 10. A rank of 7 or higher means a higher profitability and may stay that way. A rank of 3 or lower indicates that the company has had trouble to make a profit.

Profitability Rank is not directly related to the Financial Strength Rank. But if a company is consistently profitable, its financial strength will be stronger.

Business Description

EPR Properties formerly Entertainment Properties Trust was formed on August 22, 1997 as a Maryland real estate investment trust (REIT), and an initial public offering of common shares of beneficial interest was completed on November 18, 1997. The Company develops, owns, leases and finances megaplex theatres, entertainment retail centers (centers generally anchored by an entertainment component such as a megaplex theatre and containing other entertainment-related properties), and destination recreational and specialty properties. The Company's properties are located in the United States and Canada. It is a self-administered REIT. Megaplex theatres typically have at least 10 screens with stadium-style seating (seating with elevation between rows to provide unobstructed viewing) and are equipped with amenities that significantly enhance the audio and visual experience of the patron. The Company continues to seek opportunities for the development of additional restaurant, retail and other entertainment venues around its existing portfolio. The opportunity to capitalize on the traffic generation of its market-dominant theatres to create entertainment retail centers (ERC's). The venue replacement cycle in theatrical exhibition represents what it considers an inflection opportunity, a demand for new capital stimulated by a need to upgrade to new technologies and related amenities. The Company competes for real estate financing opportunities with other companies that invest in real estate, as well as traditional financial sources such as banks and insurance companies.
