GuruFocus Profitability Rank ranks how profitable a company is and how likely the company’s business will stay that way. It is based on these factors:

1. Operating Margin
2. Trend of the Operating Margin (5-year average). The company with an uptrend profit margin has a higher rank.
••3. Consistency of the profitability
4. Piotroski F-Score
5. Predictability Rank•

The maximum rank is 10. A rank of 7 or higher means a higher profitability and may stay that way. A rank of 3 or lower indicates that the company has had trouble to make a profit.

Profitability Rank is not directly related to the Financial Strength Rank. But if a company is consistently profitable, its financial strength will be stronger.

EQT Midstream Partners LP owns, operates, acquires and develops midstream assets in the Appalachian Basin. It provides natural gas transmission, storage and gathering services.

EQT Midstream Partners LP was incorporated in Delaware on January 18, 2012. The Company owns, operates, acquires and develops midstream assets in the Appalachian Basin. It provides midstream services to EQT and third parties in the Appalachian Basin across 22 counties in Pennsylvania and West Virginia through two assets: the transmission and storage system and the gathering system. The Company's transmission and storage system included an approximately 700-mile Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-regulated interstate pipeline that connects to five interstate pipelines and multiple distribution companies. The transmission system is supported by 14 associated natural gas storage reservoirs with approximately 400 MMcf per day of peak withdrawal capacity and 32 Bcf of working gas capacity and 27 compressor units. The transmission assets had total throughput capacity of approximately 3.1 Bcf per day. It also operates the Allegheny Valley Connector (AVC) facilities. The Company's gathering system included approximately 185 miles of high pressure gathering lines with approximately 1.4 Bcf per day of total firm gathering capacity and multiple interconnect points with Company's transmission and storage system. Its gathering system also includes approximately 1,500 miles of FERC-regulated low pressure gathering lines. All of the Company's assets and operations are located in the continental United States. Its principal competitors in its natural gas transmission and storage market include companies that own major natural gas pipelines. In addition, it also competes with companies that are building high pressure gathering facilities that are not subject to FERC jurisdiction to move volumes to interstate pipelines. The Company is subject to federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations.
