Business Description

Enerplus Corp was incorporated on August 12, 2010. Enerplus is a North American energy producer with a diversified asset base of oil and gas assets that offer both a stable cash flow stream as well as growth potential. It is focused on creating value for its investors through the successful development of its properties and the disciplined management of balance sheet. Through its activities, it strives to provide investors with a competitive return comprised of both growth and income. Enerplus has a concentrated portfolio of oil and natural gas assets both in Canada and the United States that offers stable production and cash flow generation as well significant reserve and production growth opportunities. It strives to maintain a balance between oil and natural gas production to help mitigate the risk associated with any one commodity while providing access to some of the best plays in North America. Its oil portfolio includes high growth opportunities in the Bakken/Three Forks resource play in North Dakota, as well as stable, low decline crude oil production from a variety of crude oil waterflood properties across Western Canada. The Corporation has categorized its key assets and operations into four play types, which include: (i) Tight Oil primarily in Montana and North Dakota; (ii) Marcellus Shale Gas in the northeastern United States; (iii) Deep Gas in northwestern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia; and (iv) Crude Oil Waterfloods throughout western Canada. Additionally, the Corporation has interests in other oil and natural gas properties throughout western Canada, including shallow gas in southeastern and central Alberta and southwestern Saskatchewan.
