Espey Manufacturing & Electronics Corp. was incorporated in 1928. The Company is engaged mainly in the development, design, production and sale of specialized electronic power supplies, a wide variety of transformers and other types of iron-core components, and electronic system components. In other cases, the Company is responsible for both the overall design and manufacture of the product. The Company does not generally manufacture standardized components and does not have a product line. The electronic power supplies and components manufactured by the Company find application mainly in shipboard and land based radar, locomotives, aircraft, short and medium range communication systems, navigation systems and land based military artillery. The Company's iron-core components include transformers of the audio, power and pulse types, magnetic amplifiers and audio filters. The electronic system components manufactured by the Company include antenna systems and high power radar transmitters. These system components utilize the Company's own electronic power supplies, transformers and other iron-core components and mechanical assemblies. The Company markets its products primarily through its own direct sales organization. Business is solicited from large industrial manufacturers and defense companies, the government of the United States, foreign governments and major foreign electronic equipment companies. The Company is subject to procurement laws and regulations.
