1. Operating Margin
2. Trend of the Operating Margin (5-year average). The company with an uptrend profit margin has a higher rank.
••3. Consistency of the profitability
4. Piotroski F-Score
5. Predictability Rank•

The maximum rank is 10. A rank of 7 or higher means a higher profitability and may stay that way. A rank of 3 or lower indicates that the company has had trouble to make a profit.

Profitability Rank is not directly related to the Financial Strength Rank. But if a company is consistently profitable, its financial strength will be stronger.

First Advantage Bancorp is a Tennessee chartered company incorporated in June 2007 to serve as the holding company for First Advantage Bank, a Tennessee-chartered commercial bank formerly known as First Federal Savings Bank. The Company's principal business activity is the ownership of the outstanding common stock of the Bank. The Company uses the premises, equipment and other property of First Advantage Bank with the payment of appropriate rental fees, as required by applicable law and regulations, under the terms of an expense allocation agreement. The Bank operates as a community-oriented financial institution offering traditional financial services to personal and business customers in the Bank's primary market area. The Bank attracts deposits from the general public and uses those funds to originate one-to-four family mortgage loans, monresidential real estate loans, construction loans, commercial business loans, and land loans, and, to a lesser extent, multi-family loans and consumer loans. On February 2, 2012, the Bank completed its conversion from a federally chartered savings bank to a Tennessee-chartered commercial bank. It faces competition for the attraction of deposits and origination of loans. Its most direct competition for deposits has historically come from the several financial institutions operating in its primary market area and from other financial service companies such as securities and mortgage brokerage firms, credit unions and insurance companies.
