Essentra PLC is an international supplier of specialist plastic, fibre, foam and packaging products with four principal operating divisions: Component & Protection Solutions, Porous Technologies, Packaging & Securing Solutions and Filter Products.

Essentra PLC was incorporated on May 5, 2005. It is a supplier of specialist plastic, fibre, foam and packaging products with three strategic business units: Component Solutions, Health & Personal Care Packaging and Filtration Products. Component Solutions segment manufactures and distributes plastic injection moulded, vinyl dip moulded and metal items. It includes; the Pipe Protection Technologies business, which manufactures products from commodity resins to engineering-grade thermoplastics and polymer alloys for use in a range of end-markets; Extrusion business, a custom profile extruder located in The Netherlands, which offers a complete design and production service; and Security business, a European provider of ID card printers, systems and accessories to direct and trade customers, providing a broad product offering and competitive value. Health & Personal Care Packaging segment manufactures and supplies pressure sensitive tear tape and provides labels, closures and seals. It includes Specialty Tapes, which provides adhesive coated products to many industries including point of purchase display, exhibit, printing, plastic fabrication, appliance, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning, and education. Filtration Products segment provides specialised filtration solutions to an international customer base in a diverse range of end-markets, including tobacco, health and personal care and consumer goods. It includes Filter Products, which supplies cigarette filter and Porous Technologies, which develops and manufactures custom fluid handling components, engineered from a portfolio of technologies that includes bonded and non-woven fibre, polyurethane foam and porous plastics.
