Republic First Bancorp, Inc., was organized and incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1987 to be the holding company for Republic First Bank. The Company offers a range of competitively priced banking products and services, including consumer and commercial deposit accounts, checking accounts, interest-bearing demand accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, savings accounts, sweep accounts, lockbox services and individual retirement accounts (and other traditional banking services), secured and unsecured commercial loans, real estate loans, construction and land development loans, automobile loans, home improvement loans, mortgages, home equity and overdraft lines of credit, and other products. It attempts to offer a high level of personalized service to both its retail and commercial customers. It is a member of the STAR and PLUS automated teller (ATM) networks, which enable it to provide its customers with access to ATMs worldwide. It currently has thirteen proprietary ATMs located in its store network. Its main competitors include Wells Fargo, Citizens, PNC, Sovereign, TD Bank and Bank of America, as well as local community banks. In addition, it compete directly with savings banks, savings and loan associations, finance companies, credit unions, factors, mortgage brokers, insurance companies, securities brokerage firms, mutual funds, money market funds, private lenders and other institutions for deposits, commercial loans, mortgages and consumer loans, as well as other services. The Company is a bank holding company subject to supervision and regulation by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
