The Company's gold mining operations are based upon the geographic areas: in South Africa the South Deep mine, in Ghana the Tarkwa and Damang mines, in Australia, St. Ives, Agnew/ Lawlers, Granny Smith and Darlot mines and in Peru, the Cerro Corona mine. The Company competes with Barrick Gold, Newmont Mining, AngloGold and Gold Fields.
