••3. Consistency of the profitability
4. Piotroski F-Score

Gerdau SA is a Brazilian corporation (Sociedade Anônima) that was incorporated on November 20, 1961 under the laws of Brazil. The Company is engaged in the production and commercialization of steel products in general, through its mills located in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela. It operates integrated steel mills and non-integrated steel mills. Integrated steel mills normally produce steel from iron oxide, which is extracted from iron ore melted in blast furnaces, and refine the iron into steel, mainly through the use of basic oxygen furnaces or, more rarely, electric arc furnaces. Non-integrated steel mills produce steel by melting in electric arc furnaces scrap steel, which occasionally is complemented by other metals such as direct-reduced iron or hot-compressed iron. The Company offers steel products, which can be manufactured according to the customer's specifications. The product mix includes crude steel (slabs, blooms and billets) sold to rolling mills, finished products for the construction industry such as rods, structural bars and hot rolled coils, finished products for consumer goods industry such as commercial rolled steel bars and machine wire and products for farming and agriculture such as poles, smooth wire and barbed wire. It also produces special steel products, normally with a certain degree of customization, for the manufacture of tools and machinery, chains, locks and springs, mainly for the automotive and mechanical industries. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, the Company also engages in other activities related to the production and sale of steel products, including: reforestation; electric power generation projects; coking coal, iron ore and pig iron production; as well as fab shops and downstream operations. The Company sells its products to a diversified list of customers for use in the construction, manufacturing and agricultural industries. Its competitors include Brazilian Steel Institute and ArcelorMittal Brasil.
