Glu Mobile Inc was incorporated in Nevada in May 2001. It designs, markets and sells mobile games. It has developed and published a portfolio of casual and traditional games designed to appeal to a broad cross section of the subscribers served by its wireless carriers and other distributors, as well as to users of smartphones who purchase its games through direct-to-consumer digital storefronts. The Company creates games and related applications based on third-party licensed brands and other intellectual property, as well as on its own original brands and intellectual property. Its games based on licensed intellectual property include Big Time Gangsta, Blood & Glory, Contract Killer, Contract Killer: Zombies, Deer Hunter, Eternity Warriors, Frontline Commando, Gun Bros, Heroes of Destiny, Motocross Meltdown, Samurai vs. Zombies Defense and Stardom. In March 2007, it completed its initial public offering. It market, sell and distribute its games through direct-to-consumer digital storefronts, such as Apple's App Store, the Google Play Store and Amazon's Appstore. Company competes with DeNA, Gameloft, GREE, GungHo Online Entertainment, Nexon and Zynga, among others.
