General Moly, Inc. was initially incorporated in Idaho under the name General Mines Corporation on November 23, 1925. In 1966, it amended its articles of incorporation to change its name to Idaho General Petroleum and Mines Corporation, and amended its articles again in 1967 changing its name to Idaho General Mines, Inc. On October 5, 2007, it reincorporated the Company in the State of Delaware through a merger involving Idaho General Mines, Inc. and General Moly, Inc., a Delaware corporation that was a wholly owned subsidiary of Idaho General Mines, Inc. The Reincorporation was effected by merging Idaho General Mines, Inc. with and into General Moly, with General Moly being the surviving entity. It is a development stage Company in the business of the exploration, development and mining of properties mainly containing molybdenum. The Company was in the exploration stage until October 4, 2007 when the plan for the development of the Mt. Hope molybdenum property (the Mt. Hope Project' in Eureka County, Nevada was approved. The Company is currently proceeding with the development of the Mt. Hope Project. It is also conducting exploration and evaluation activities on its Liberty molybdenum property (the Liberty Property formerly referred to as the Hall-Tonopah Property) in Nye County, Nevada. In addition, it has certain other, non-core, mineral interests in the Western United States that it is currently evaluating for potential development or sale. The Mt. Hope Project is subject to numerous state and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes.
