Gulfport Energy Corp is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company focused on the exploration, exploitation, acquisition and production of crude oil, natural gas liquids and natural gas in the United States.

Gulfport Energy Corp was incorporated in the State of Delaware was June 20, 1997. The Company is an independent oil and gas exploration, development and production company with its principal properties located in the Utica Shale in Eastern Ohio and along the Louisiana Gulf Coast. The Company is engaged in the exploration, exploitation, acquisition and production of natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil in the United States. The Company also has an interest in producing properties in Northwestern Colorado in the Niobrara Formation and in Western North Dakota in the Bakken Formation, and has investments in companies operating in the United States, Canada and Thailand. The Company also holds position in the Alberta oil sands in Canada through its interest in Grizzly Oil Sands ULC, or Grizzly, and an interest in an entity that operates in the Phu Horm gas field in Thailand. The Company drills approximately 29 to 32 gross (19 to 21 net) horizontal wells, and commence sales from 44 to 48 gross (28 to 30 net) horizontal wells on its Utica Shale acreage. The Company's oil and natural gas operations are subject to various types of legislation, regulation and other legal requirements enacted by governmental authorities. Its oil and natural gas exploration, development and production operations are subject to stringent laws and regulations governing the discharge of materials into the environment or otherwise relating to environmental protection.
