Gap Inc is an apparel retail company. It offers apparel, accessories, and personal care products for men, women, children and babies under the Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix brands.

Gap Inc was incorporated in the State of California in July 1969 and was reincorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware in May 1988. The Company is an apparel retail company. It offers apparel, accessories, and personal care products for men, women, and children under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, and Intermix brands. It operates stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Japan, Italy, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan. Its products are also available to customers online through Company-owned websites and through the use of third parties that provide logistics and fulfillment services. In addition to operating in the specialty, outlet, online, and franchise channels, it also uses its omni-channel capabilities to bridge the digital world and physical stores to further enhance its shopping experience for its customers. Its omni-channel services, including order-in-store, reserve-in-store, find-in-store, and ship-from-store, as well as enhanced mobile experiences, are tailored uniquely across its portfolio of brands. Most of the products sold under its brand names are designed by the Company and manufactured by independent sources. It also sells products that are designed and manufactured by branded third parties, primarily at its Intermix brand. Its segments include Gap Global, Old Navy Global, Banana Republic Global, Athleta, and Intermix. The Company competes with local, national, and apparel retailers.
