Howard Bancorp Inc Md was incorporated in April 2005 under the laws of the State of Maryland. The Company completed its IPO in July 2012. It is a bank holding company for Howard Bank. It provides commercial banking, mortgage banking, and consumer finance through banking branches, the internet and other distribution channels to businesses, business owners, professionals and other consumers located mainly in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The Bank engages in a general commercial banking business, making different types of loans and accepting deposits. The Bank markets its financial services to small to medium sized businesses and their owners, professionals and executives, and high-net-worth individuals. Its loans are mainly funded by core deposits of customers in its market. The Company has seven full services branches, four located throughout Howard County, one in Annapolis, one in Towson and one in Harford County.
