H&E Equipment Services, Inc, is an integrated equipment services company in the United States. The Company is focused on heavy construction and industrial equipment. It rents, sells and provides parts and service support for four core categories of specialized equipment: hi-lift or aerial work platform equipment; cranes; earthmoving equipment; and industrial lift trucks. The Company is engaged in five main business activities in these equipment categories: equipment rentals; new equipment sales; used equipment sales; parts sales; and repair and maintenance services. The Company rents its heavy construction and industrial equipment to its customers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Its rental business creates cross-selling opportunities for it in sales and service support activities. It sells new heavy construction and industrial equipment in all four core equipment Categories, and is a distributor for third-party suppliers. The Company's facilities and operations are subject to comprehensive and frequently changing federal, state and local environmental and occupational health and safety laws.
