Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc is engaged in designing, building, overhauling & repairing ships for U.S. Navy & the U.S. Coast Guard. The Company also provides Refueling & Complex Overhaul services for nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.

Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc was incorporated in Delaware on August 4, 2010. The Company is engaged in designing, building, overhauling, and repairing ships for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. Its reportable segments include Ingalls, Newport News, and Other. Through its Ingalls segment, it builds amphibious assault and expeditionary warfare ships for the U.S. Navy, the sole builder of National Security Cutters ("NSC") for the U.S. Coast Guard, and one of only two companies that builds the Navy's current fleet of DDG-51 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers. Through its Newport News segment, it designs, builds, and refuels nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, and one of only two companies that designs and builds nuclear-powered submarines for the U.S. Navy. Its other segment is engaged in non-shipbuilding commercial activities. It conducts business with the U.S. Government, principally the Department of Defense ("DoD").
