Business Description

Houston American Energy Corp. is a Delaware Corporation and it was incorporated on April 2, 2001. The Company is engaged, as a non-operating joint owner, in the exploration, development, and production of natural gas, crude oil, and condensate from properties located mainly in the Gulf Coast area of the United States and international locations with proven production, which to date has focused on Colombia, South America. Its oil and gas reserves and operations are concentrated primarily in the South American country of Colombia and in the onshore Gulf Coast region, particularly Texas and Louisiana. It encounters intense competition from other oil and gas companies in all areas of its operations, including the acquisition of producing properties and undeveloped acreage. The Company's competitors include major integrated oil and gas companies, numerous independent oil and gas companies and individuals. The oil and gas industry is subject to regulation by numerous national, state and local governmental agencies and departments.
