Infosys Ltd provides end-to-end business solutions, including consulting, design, development, software re-engineering, maintenance, systems integration, package evaluation and implementation and infrastructure management services.

Infosys Ltd was incorporated on July 2, 1981 in Maharashtra, India, as Infosys Consultants Private Limited. The Company changed its name to Infosys Technologies Private Limited in April 1992 and to Infosys Technologies Limited in June 1992, when it became a public limited company. The Company completed its initial public offering of equity shares in India in 1993 and initial public offering of ADSs in the United States in 1999. The Company designs and delivers IT-enabled business solutions to its clients. The Company provides technology, business consulting, outsourcing and engineering services to help clients in over thirty countries. Its end-to-end business solutions, business IT services, comprising application development and maintenance, independent validation services, infrastructure management, engineering services comprising product engineering and life cycle solutions and business process management; management consulting, enterprise solutions & package implementation, systems integration and business intelligence; products, business platforms and solutions to accelerate intellectual property-led innovation, including FinacleTM, its banking product, which offers solutions to address core banking, mobile banking and e-banking needs of retail, corporate and universal banks; and its Edge Suite products offering comprehensive platforms for customers; and Emerging technologies such as cloud computing, enterprise mobility, digital, big data and analytics. Its geographic markets are North America, Europe, India and internationally. Its serves clients in financial services and insurance; manufacturing; energy, communications and services; resources and utilities; retail, consumer packaged goods and logistics; life sciences and healthcare and growth markets. Its suite of business solutions includes business and technology consulting, enterprise solutions, systems integration, custom application development, application maintenance and production support, infrastructure management, independent testing and validation, product engineering and lifecycle solutions, business process management, software products, and business platforms and solutions. Its solutions include Consulting and Systems integration and Business IT Services. Consulting and Systems integration are comprised of Management Consulting Services (MCS), SAP, Oracle, Advanced Technologies (ADT). Custom Software Application Development develops customized software solutions for its clients. These solutions are often delivered as projects that leverage a combination of its technical capabilities, domain understanding, consultative capabilities, IP assets and methodologies.
