Retail Banking segment provides banking services to individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe, Asia and Australia. Its geographical reach consists of Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Australia and Poland, and other markets include Spain, France, Austria, Italy, Romania, Turkey and India. Retail Netherlands segment offers current and savings accounts, business lending, mortgages and other consumer lending in the Netherlands. Retail Belgium segment offers current and savings accounts, business lending, mortgages and other consumer lending in Belgium. Retail Germany segment offers current and savings accounts, mortgages and other customer lending. Retail Rest of World segment offers current and savings accounts, business lending, mortgages and other consumer lending. Commercial Banking segment offers wholesale banking activities ranging from cash management to corporate finance, real estate and lease. The Company is subject to detailed banking, insurance, asset management and other financial services laws and government regulation in the jurisdictions in which it conducts business.
