Kratos Launches Two New Products and Insiders Buy
Kratos Defense & Security Systems (KTOS) reported three insider buys on March 15 followed by another three buys on March 18. These insider buys surround the announcement of two new and updated products for the company. On March 15 three insiders bought shares into Kratos. President and CEO Eric DeMarco added 27,786 shares at $4.50 per share for a total of $125,037. Director Jane Judd added 6,000 shares at $4.47 for a total amount of $26,820. Business Description

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. incorporated in the state of New York on December 19, 1994 and began operations in March 1995. It reincorporated in the state of Delaware in 1998. On September 12, 2007, it changed its name from Wireless Facilities, Inc. to Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. The Company is a specialized national security technology business providing mission critical products, services and solutions for U.S. national security priorities. Its main products and services are related to Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance ("C5ISR"). It offers its customers products, solutions, services and expertise to support their mission-critical needs by leveraging its skills across its core offering areas in C5ISR. The Company manufactures and designs specialized electronic defense components subsystems and systems for electronic attack, electronic warfare and missile system platforms; integrated technology solutions for satellite communications; products and solutions for unmanned systems; products and services related to cybersecurity and cyberwarfare; products and solutions for ballistic missile defense; weapons systems trainers; advanced network engineering and information technology ("IT") services; weapons systems lifecycle support and sustainment; military weapon range operations and technical services; and public safety, critical infrastructure security and surveillance systems. The Company operate in two principal business segments: Kratos Government Solutions ("KGS") and Public Safety and Security ("PSS"). It organizes its business segments based on the nature of the products and services offered. The KGS segment provides C5ISR products, solutions and services mainly for mission critical national security priorities. Its primary end customers in the KGS segment are U.S. Government agencies, including the DoD, classified agencies, intelligence agencies, civil agencies, other national security agencies and homeland security related agencies. Its PSS segment provides independent integrated solutions for advanced homeland security, public safety, critical infrastructure, and security and surveillance systems for government, industrial and commercial customers. Its solutions include designing, engineering, installing and servicing physical security systems and technologies that protect people, critical infrastructure, strategic assets, and property and make facilities more secure and efficient. Its provide solutions in such areas as the design, engineering and operation of command and control centers; the design, engineering, deployment and integration of access control; building automation and control; communications; digital and closed circuit television security and surveillance; fire and life safety; maintenance and services and product support services.
