Lee Enterprises Inc is a provider of local news and information and a platform for advertising, in midsize markets with 46 daily newspapers and a joint interest in four others.

Lee Enterprises Inc was founded in 1890, incorporated in 1950. The Company is a provider of local news and information, and a platform for advertising, in the markets it serves, which are located in the Midwest, Mountain West and West regions of the United States. Its products include: 50 daily and 38 Sunday newspapers with print and digital subscribers totaling 0.9 million and 1.3 million; and Nearly 300 weekly newspapers and classified and niche publications. The Company operates in midsize markets, with 46 daily newspapers and a joint interest in four others. The Company's newspapers include: St. Louis Post-Dispatch; Capital Newspapers; The Times; Arizona Daily Star; Lincoln Group; Billings Gazette; Central Illinois Newspaper Group; Quad-Cities Group; The Courier; among others. It purchases newsprint from U.S. and Canadian producers. The Company does not face competition from other local daily newspapers in its markets, although there is competition for audience in those markets from other media.
